Review Life Science Student Conference Hamburg 2025

 

The 2025 Life Science Student Conference Hamburg event was a great success! Young researchers presented their exciting projects in the area of life sciences – from microorganisms to medical technology, from basic research to AI applications. The atmosphere was lively and inspiring, with engaging talks, diverse contributions, great discussions, and well-deserved awards for the best talks and poster. Several students from our groups presented their work and were awarded for their scientific presentations!

Big congrats to Xenia Junimann who received the 1st prize for her oral presentation on finite element-based analysis of the mechanical role of microcalli in trabecular bone, Leona Schild who won 3rd prize with her work on optimizing image-based pose estimation of surgical instruments using deep learning, and Felice Kendziorra for winning the 3rd prize in the short oral presentations on 3D imaging and segmentation of the osteocyte network in zebrafish.
